Dr. Gallagher earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee in 1994. Graduating with honors, she also received the Valedictorian award, graduating first in her class. She completed her residency training at the Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center in affiliation with the University of Alabama at Birmingham in hospital-based optometry and low vision. Dr. Gallagher also served as a part-time faculty member at the Emory Eye Center in Atlanta, Georgia, for three years.
Dr. Gallagher performs comprehensive primary care ocular examinations for patients of all ages, fits contact lenses and manages ocular disease and infections. Dr. Gallagher also provides low vision evaluations for the partially sighted. This allows patients with reduced vision to see more clearly with the use of magnifiers and telescopic lenses.
In her other profession she is known as “Mom”, Dr. Gallagher enjoys spending time with her four children and husband. She also enjoys traveling and reading.
